‘FILMUS’ is a combination of the French word ‘Fil’, meaning ‘Thread’
and the Latin word ‘Humus’, meaning ‘Earth’.
‘FILMUS’は、フランス語で糸という意味の‘Fil’と、ラテン語で大地という意味の‘Humus’を組み合わせた造語。
Concept and Story
‘Sophisticated Herbal Dyed Clothing’
We aim to create sophisticated clothing that can be cherished and worn for generations. Our garments are made using natural herbal dyes and organic fabrics or materials derived from natural sources. Our production processes are gentle on the earth, and our fabrics feel luxurious against the skin. We want to create clothing that resonates with the spirit of urban women who embrace the present moment.

Sustainability
We have been concerned with the impact caused by chemical dyes on the environment and the human body. Seeking natural and sustainable ways to produce clothing, our research led us to India where we started working with herbal dye producers. Our clothing is produced using only earth‐friendly materials dyed with natural herbs and spices¹. The processes and techniques involved in production minimize the impact on the earth includes consumption of water².
私たちは、化学染料が環境や人体に与える影響に懸念を抱いてきました。持続可能な生産方法を求めて、インドのハーバル・ダイの生産者と出会い、協業を開始。FILMUS13の服は、彼らが独自開発した天然のハーブやスパイスから成る染料¹で染めた、環境に優しい素材を使用しています。その生産プロセスは、水消費量²を含めて地球への影響を最小限に抑えています。
